25 YEAR OLD KEITH RICHARD'S AMP RETURNS TO PIGNOSE

Pignose Industries president Howard Chatt has the fine eye of a collector, and when Pignose serial number 064 surfaced, Chatt didn't have to think twice before acquiring it.

Serial number 064 has an interesting and classically rock n' roll pedigree. The amp was made in the earliest days of Pignose by the original inventors, Richard Edlund and Wayne Kimball, and presented to Rolling Stone's guitar hero Keith Richard in 1972. Details of the actual meeting between Edlund, Kimball, and Richard, and the Pignose presentation are thankfully lost in the haze of early 70's rock n' roll lore.

Part of the first 500 hand-made Pignoses, this amp is covered iri genuine pigskin and has a rubber pig's nose. The amplifier's insides feature evidence of some rather basic construction techniques, and a hand-printed inscription reading:

"... This PIGNOSE was built by hand by the inventors, Richard Edlund and Wayne Kimball, expressly for KEITH RICHARD of the Rolling Stones."

Purchased from former Keith Richard employee Michael Troy in England, Pignose #064 is now on display at Pignose headquarters in Gardena, California, and, according to Chatt, still gets taken out and cranked up every now and again.
